This calculator uses the principle of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium to calculate expected genotype frequencies from known allele frequencies for an autosomal variant with up to 10 alleles. Genotype frequencies can be viewed either as a table or as a bar chart (several bar charts if >5 alleles). Frequencies for a subset of genotypes (e.g. all genotypes with allele p) can also be viewed by using the drop-down menu. Tip: To ensure the total allele frequency is equal to 1, users should aim for the number in the 'Freq. to Assign' box to equal 0 (in green) once all allele frequencies have been inputted.
